Kicker Style 1.0

Easy Grabs, Intermediate Grabs, Frontside Shifties

While on the water the spray tricks and ollie variants turn up the style factor for the first time, on the kicker it's the grabs. It makes a huge difference if you just jump over the kicker or if you grab the edge of your board with your free hand during the jump. This not only looks a lot more stylish, but also requires and trains a much higher level of body control in the air. Depending on which hand you use to grab which part of the board, grabs can be as difficult as you like – you start with the Easy Grabs, of course.

Next up are the Advanced Grabs – which at this point in your trick progression can probably already be a challenge! All even more complicated grabs are therefore listed later... In addition to the grabs, there is an additional possibility to spice up your kicker hits, which are shifties. For now you focus on Frontside Shifties, where you rotate the board 180° using your hips in frontside direction without turning your upper body - this allows you to easily turn the board back to the starting position afterwards. You can achieve a special style by combining the grabs and shifties!
