Start Style

Jumpstart & Nollie Start

Over the kicker you are already used to jumping with the board on your feet - now you can build up a little style at the start and start with a jump from the starting bench. Above all, you have to internalize the right timing! Of course, you can land with both the strong and the weak foot forward (Jumpstart, SW Jumpstart).

For a jump start from the mat, you need even more body tension than with a jump start from the starting bench, since you have to rock over the front foot to generate the necessary height (Nollie Start, SW Nollie Start). This way of launching may feel strange at first, but it can lead to impressive launches and is also a good basis for various other tricks on obstacles such as presses and front flips!
